Who hasn’t experienced the feeling of walking into a room and just feeling good, of having some inner voice whisper, “I never want to leave.” Sandra Jordan and Lisa Staprans explore “the why” behind the feeling by looking through the intimately connected lenses of Neurobeauty and Natural fibers. Both elicit instantaneous “conversations” between our bodies and brains without our awareness, but we’re always aware of what they’re evoking within us: transformative feelings of well-being.
As the founders of Sandra Jordan Prima Alpaca, and Staprans Design, their businesses are quite different, yet they share a deeply held belief-that beauty has healing and transformative powers that can be easily accessed through our environments, and the natural products we put in them. When beautiful natural materials and beautiful design are woven together, our spaces open a channel for us to explore and discover with all of our senses. Once opened, our positive neurotransmitters: dopamine, oxytocin, endorphins, serotonin, and balanced cortisol are activated. This is Neurobeauty in all its remarkable potential to boost our immune system, lower blood pressure, sleep better, balance our brain chemistry and feel less anxious, all while supporting us as we wander through the world with wonder and awe.
Sandra and Lisa believe that by simply choosing to approach our environments purposefully, we’re making the decision to enrich our lives all throughout our days.
