Melina Finkelstein, Bay Area rug designer and cofounder of Peace Industry (R) is presenting a preview of new felt rug and tapestry collections at the H2 Hotel. The previewed tapestry collections will be exhibited at Carpet Diem Paris this October. A curated selection of tapestries and rugs will be displayed in an indoor event space including original Peace Industry (R) wool felt, flat weave and hand knotted rugs made in Oaxaca, Mexico and Nepal. Melina was commissioned to produce rugs for the H2 lobby and guest rooms in 2017.
As attendees arrive, she will speak about her new collaborative projects with women felt artisans in Nepal and artists in the Bay Area and around the world.
