About the Showcase:

Tide & Terroir: Color Between Land and Sea
Featuring Bill Gittins

Sonoma County’s landscapes have long been a source of inspiration, but in Bill Gittins’ hands they become something more: vibrant meditations on color, form, and movement. With a palette knife or brush in hand, Gittins distills vineyard rows, winding trails, restless waters, and expansive skies into strokes that feel at once grounded and full of possibility.

These intimate oil paintings are not mere depictions of place, they are pathways, each canvas leading the eye (and the spirit) toward what lies just beyond the horizon.  Part of Design Healdsburg, the city’s annual design week, the collection resonates with the same principles that drive thoughtful design: balance, rhythm, texture, and the pursuit of beauty in the everyday.

As part of Design Healdsburg, Gittins will present a live painting demonstration, offering a rare glimpse into the process behind his color-rich visions.
